Hey Kenneth, HNY! Always enjoy reading your stuff! We have enjoyed watching your rise to prominence, well earned! Great List...

Too bad you don't know my wife Gina Sprenkle-Gunning - one of the internet marketing pioneers who still coaches newbies in business basics and correct internet marketing skills... You probably would have mentioned her.

Gina is known as the Traffic Queen and wrote copy for many of the top guys still around today, she was an in the background mover and shaker.

This will be the year she gets the recognition that she richly deserves!

Wow - that's such an exhaustive list and post I'm not sure where to start!

Totally agree on Perry - he is already missed... I hope he's doing well.

Also couldn't agree more on the IM oligarchy. The problem with their oligarchy isn't just the exclusive nature of it - it's that those of us who have been summarily excluded from The Boys's Club (yeah, I'm one of 'em) won't buy their products and play their game anymore... and there's more and more of us every day who are wising up! There's plenty of money to be made without them - by focusing on real businesses of all sizes. And since they're too busy talking to each other instead of their customers their days are numbered IMHO (unless they wise up and remember how they got to where they are).

Also, agree on Google and their monopolistic practices. All big companies become bureaucratic and insensitive as they achieve success (just as the IM oligarchy of old has done). The only good news is that something WILL come along and knock them off their high horse eventually - it always does. Disruption is inevitable, particularly on the Internet. Google and AT&T are in the same bucket in terms of Customer Support these days - something Microsoft had to learn the hard way to fix (now MS has great support).

You are definitely on the right track with your Twitter product line there. Good job! Keep up the great posts and value-add you bring the community.
