WARNING: This 30min Video Is Probably The Most Valuable Twitter Video You Will Ever Watch.
A marionette or string puppet… moved around with strings that hang from above… one of the more complex types of puppetry… hard to master… can have up to thirty strings…
Ever tried to play around with a puppet? When you don’t know the tricks to use to navigate all the strings, the movements you create can be a right darn mess! Watch this video and let me walk you through the psychological triggers at play on Twitter when you write the perfect tweet.
Pinocchio – a ‘real’ boy?
From the time he knew what it meant to be a ‘real life boy’, Pinocchio wanted to be one.

Pinocchio may be a fictional character, but he learnt an important principle that a lot of people may have yet to grasp — the power of being the one “pulling the strings”, so to speak.
But wanting to become a ‘real boy’ doesn’t come by itself. Pinocchio had to prove himself first. It required his time and investment. And all the lessons he learnt proved worthwhile in the long run. He wouldn’t have succeeded as a real boy otherwise.
Pinocchio definitely got it right. Would you rather be a puppet? Or would you rather be ‘real’?
Are you real?
Twitter is like that. People would rather meet other ‘real people’ online. Depending on your behavior, you can easily be misinterpreted and labeled a spammer or a robot, while you are actually doing as best you know how to bring your marketing online.
On Twitter, as on any other form of social media, people want to meet the puppeteers, the “Puppet Masters” –the people behind the scenes, the people who are making waves in the industry, the people who are making things happen, the people in control.
People are silently needing to be led, their strings are there for you, and now its up to you to pull those to your advantage.
Make things happen
I know I’m stating the obvious, but that’s what a ‘real’ Puppet Master does –they are the true operators of puppets. They CONTROL the movement of puppets for their purposes.
In many ways, your prospects are like puppets, like marionettes moved by invisible strings that even they are sometimes unaware of.
You will learn as a Charter Member of the Secret Society of Puppet Masters to discern these strings and masterfully pull them so that they’ll move in the way you want them to.
Handing you money, falling in love with your products, spreading your brand to all their friends.
Sometimes, these strings are hidden from the view of the audience. And sometimes, they’re obvious — but only if you recognize them in their different forms.
Trends. News. Current events.
You’ll hear me say this again. Use the USA Today Secret. Use the Knew/New Method.
You need to learn to tap into the conversation in your prospect’s head. And part of the power of Twitter is that it’s one giant conversation.
But how do figure out that conversation? And how, in a sea of voices, do you make yourself heard?
The answer is simple. Write the perfect tweet. And draw everyone in.
And write another perfect tweet, and snare their hearts and wallets.
Repeat.
It’s really that simple. With the right knowledge, you can learn to harness the power of compelling tweets, and tap into your power as the Puppet Master.
The video contains some powerful stuff if you take time to internalize it.
In case you have not watched it, I urged you not to be scared off by the length, because this could be the most powerful Twitter marketing video you’ll ever experienced.
I apologize for the meatiness of it in advance, but grab a pen and notebook, lock yourself in for half an hour, and learn the secrets that will help you realize your dreams and get you ahead in the long run.
